Punishment for Greed Story: There lived two cats in a forest. One cat was black and the other was orange. They both lived together and played hunting together. They would share whatever food they could find. If the black cat hunted, the orange The cat would call and if the orange cat found any prey, it would not eat alone. Both of them were laughing happily.
One day the black cat went to the village. She entered a house and got ghee bread from there. She had never eaten ghee bread before, so she liked the smell of ghee very much. Dogs in the village. There were also and she was very afraid of dogs, so instead of sitting there, she took bread and ran to the forest. She thought that this ghee bread is very delicious, so I will eat it alone.
As soon as the black cat entered the forest, the orange cat came running to him. He also liked the smell of ghee. Orange cat asked: “Black sister, where did you get this bread?”
The black cat said: “I went to the village today, I found this bread there. There were also dogs in the village, I came here with difficulty avoiding them.” The orange cat said: “Let’s eat bread together.”
On which the black cat said: “Neither, I brought this bread with great difficulty, so I will eat it alone.”
Orange cat said: “Black sister, what are you talking about, we always eat everything together”, but black cat did not agree and both started arguing. They started having a good fight. A monkey also lived in the forest, he was sitting on a tree watching the cat fight.
He thought that these cats used to live in harmony with each other but today they are fighting because of greed, they should be taught a lesson. He jumped down from the tree and said: “Dear sisters, why are you fighting with each other, together?” It is good to live by chance. Let me share the bread between you two.
The cats kept silent and started watching him. The monkey took the bread and said: “Wait, I will bring the scales, in this way justice will be done. You wait for me.” The monkey said so and ran away with the bread.
The cats waited for him for a long time. They didn’t even know that the monkey had eaten the bread while sitting on the tree. When a long time passed and the monkey did not return, the cats understood that they had been punished for their greed. But the orange cat said: “Black sister, you have seen the end of the fight”. “Yes, sister, the mistake was mine,” the black cat bowed its head while confessing.
Moral of the Story: I brought this bread with great difficulty, so I will eat it alone.
