Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi Story: These sages were Shams Tabriz (real name Shamsuddin) and Ustad Maulana Jalaluddin came to be known as Rumi.
The message that Allah Almighty spread in the form of the Holy Qur’an through the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) for the good of mankind, the good servants followed it and preached it to show others the straight path. It was also a means of this preaching.
The teacher was teaching his students by the side of a pond when an old man came walking towards him.
They seemed to be travelers. Their clothes were rumpled and their shoes were torn. They listened for a while, then said: “What is in this book?” There is something that you do not know.” The old man said: “Show me.” Then he took the book in his hand and threw it into the water tank. The teacher was worried.

“What have you done, Hazrat! You have wasted all my hard work.” The elder said: “Hey, why are you crying, stay still.” After saying this, he put his hand in the tank and took out the book and placed it in the teacher’s hand. It was as dry as before. The teacher was surprised, asked: “Hazrat did this?”
The elder said:
“Mian! This is what you don’t know.” “After saying this, the elders disappeared from sight walking with fast steps and the teacher remained standing dumbfounded. When he regained consciousness, he ran back and hugged him. Children! These saints were Shams Tabriz (real name Shamsuddin) and Ustad Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, who became known in detail today.
Childhood:
Jalaluddin Rumi was born on Friday, 4 Rabi Al-Awwal 604 Hijri (30 September 1270 AD) in the ancient city of Balkh, Afghanistan. His father was Sheikh Bahau Uddin Alam Fazil al-Sajr. Rumi’s genealogy can be traced back to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (RA). Rumi received his initial education from his father, then one of his disciples, Syed Burhanuddin, who was a great scholar and researcher of his time, continued to train Rumi.
Emigration from Afghanistan:
Rumi was about fourteen years old when the Mongols (later called Mughals) attacked Afghanistan in 1220/21. Affected by the circumstances of the Wajdal war, his father decided to migrate. Baghdad, Hejaz and Passed through Syria. At last, at the request of the Seljuk prince Alla-ud-Din Kiqbad, he reached the ancient city of Konya in southern Turkey.
youth:
Till the age of twenty-four, Maulana Rumi carefully studied the Quran and Hadith along with mathematics, logic, physics, politics, philosophy and ethics. He continued to acquire more knowledge from different educational institutions and became a Muslim scholar at the age of eighty-four years. On Wednesday, 27th Jamadi al-Thani 642 Hijri (November 30, 1244 AD), when he first met Maulana Shams Tabriz, at that time his age was was 37 years old and Shams Tabriz was 60 years old. This meeting revolutionized the life of Maulana Rumi.
Maulana Rumi and Religion:
Maulana Rumi practiced austerity frequently in his life. He fasted continuously for ten, ten, twenty, twenty days and never ate anything. His face would turn red while praying. He cried during the prayer. Tears froze on his face due to the coldness.
Masnavi Maulana Rome:
This is the work of Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi, in which he has included the Quranic teachings as well as Platonic ideas, Christianity, Judaism, Magi and Hindu ideas. This book has six chapters. The original book is in Persian language, but it has been translated into almost every language in the world. It has two thousand six hundred and twenty six (2626) poems. It is a basic book for spiritual training. . Maulana Rumi was the spiritual mentor of Allama Iqbal.
Death:
Maulana Rumi died on Monday, 6 Jumadi al-Thani 672 Hijri (17 December 1273) due to prolonged illness, convalescence and lack of accurate diagnosis. A week after his death, his beloved cat also died. After Maulana, his granddaughter and the daughter of his second son, Sultan Wold, continued to spread the ideas of her grandfather for a long time.
